AMIGA (Analytical Model for IGM and GAlaxy evolution) has been
developed to follow precisely the evolution of galaxies taking into
account their internal structure in a detailed way and the effect of
galaxy interactions, as well as feedback processes, from reliable
initial conditions starting at redhifts greater than 30. Thus, it is a
useful tool specially designed to analize the whole process of galaxy
formation and evolution in a cosmological context.
We use the AMIGA model in the study of galaxy formation and
evolution. In particular, to study the first events of star formation
and their effects on the intergalactic medium, and the evolution of
the properties of different galactic populations at different
redshifts (luminosities, colors, sizes, bulge-disk relationship,
morphological segregations in clusters, correlations between
properties of galaxies and AGNs)
